With "Phantom Sounds" AMORIELLO has thrown out its best release so far Anyone who knows the first releases of AMORIELLO will immediately feel at home on "Phantom Sounds". 80s BLACK SABBATH and DIO are still recognizable, many nods towards RAINBOW and DEEP PURPLE, also through the keyboards of Anthony Stahl and Ariel Perchuk (KENZINER, LILIUMDUST). Which sound much more embedded here and do not serve as filler sounds, often inviting you to listen more closely. The rhythm section lays a fitting foundation for the host's guitar work. Thomas AMORIELLO's love for MALMSTEEN gives way to a broader field of Swedish hard'n'heavy bands, whereby his hero of course still resonates through from time to time. 

As a guitarist, it is easy to see who Thomas had in mind when developing his guitar work. Without falling into flat quotations from the role models, it always sounds like AMORIELLO. Together with strong, suitable voices and great musicians, he has, you can chisel that in stone, thrown out his best release so far. Thomas gave it a powerful, timeless sound together with co-producer Carlos Alvarez. The album was mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima at Tower Studio (Montpellier, France).

 "Guitarist extraordinaire Thomas Amoriello has released his second full-length opus, Phantom Sounds, the follow up to his self-titled debut in 2018. Amoriello again operates in the neoclassical arena of traditional heavy metal and shred guitar, with hints of progressive in the mix. Themes of songs are mostly medieval,   yet occasionally venture into other subject areas. Make no mistake about it, this is righteous heavy metal - played with a fire and attitude.  

Phantom Sounds is much stronger than the debut album, and a real tour de force platter of heavy metal, referencing the past but with a nod to the future. Thomas has written some magical songs, and listening to them was a real treat. Phantom Sounds should appeal to fans of classic heavy metal and fans of shred guitar.
